Why did you choose Language Japanese Language School?
I had graduated from university, did an internship and worked in France, but I found myself wanting to work in Japan. Linguage offers business Japanese classes and job hunting support, which not many schools have. I decided, if my goal is to build a career here, this school is the perfect place to start.
Where are you in the job-hunting process right now?
I’m learning Japanese while actively looking for a job. I’m not that stressed because the teachers are supportive. They help me build a resume and do interview role-plays. All of my classmates are really motivated too, so you don’t feel like you’re in this alone.
What do you think about the lessons?
The atmosphere is really fun, and everyone’s just so eager to learn. The school puts importance on conversation and interactions with students. If I don’t know something, my classmates would help me. That really makes learning easy.
Besides studying in class, what other activities do you enjoy?
We regularly hold school trips. I’ve been to Asakusa and Odaiba. It’s not just one class — it’s the entire school. And it’s a great way for us to bond. Even though it’s a huge group, everyone here feels like a family.
Who do you think this school is perfect for?
Someone who is serious about studying Japanese. Most of us have graduated from university, so we’re now learning Japanese business communication and culture and transitioning into the Japanese working environment. You need a lot of preparation for that.
What’s some advice you can give to people who are thinking about studying in Japan?
Have a goal in mind. Make good preparations. Think about what you want to do. It can be scary, but as long as you don’t forget to have fun, you’ll find the experience enjoyable.
After you graduated from Linguage Japanese Language School, how has your life been?
I’m now working as a financial analyst at a mail-order company. I’ve loved Japanese culture since I was in elementary school, so I’m happy to continue living in Japan. Outside of work, I enjoy my life in Japan to the fullest by supporting the idol group INI, and watching anime and traveling!

What did you enjoy the most about studying there?
It’s great to study in a multinational class. Even though we come from different countries, we all share the same passion for Japanese culture. Having this strong connection really makes you feel welcomed.
Was there anything you find surprising when you study Japanese here?
How friendly the teachers were! Twice a semester, we would talk with our homeroom teacher and the principal about our life in Japan and our career goals. I feel like they don’t just care about your Japanese studies, but personal growth, too.
How has school prepared and supported you for life in Japan after you graduated?
Despite attending school for a short period of time, I was able to receive a job offer thanks to the support and lessons I got. I actually hold a JLPT N1 certificate before I came to Japan, but I didn’t have many opportunities to speak Japanese. Linguage’s greater appeal is in its practical teaching methods. I spoke Japanese with my classmates every day at school, and I gradually gained confidence. Of course, the group discussions and practice of business conversations in class were also very useful.
I like to consult with my teachers. They helped me revise my resume, prepare me for interviews and do career counseling.
Anything you miss during your time as a student here?
Probably hanging out with my classmates after class. I used to go sightseeing and eat together with them. You definitely have less time to experience Japanese culture when you’re working.
Tell us something you miss during your time as a student.

I see myself living in Japan for the rest of my life, so I want to be able to speak Japanese even better. I’m also excited to build a career in finance.
